Design, Execution, Safety & Quality

Design was undertaken through a collaborative approach with the client to best assess and deliver all requirements necessary to meet the expansion needs of their Yandicoogina Iron Ore operations. The project was designed to a 4 Green Star Environmental rating in order to minimalise environmental impact through sustainable construction.

The project was completed within time and budget constraints with no injuries or accidents to any personnel. As a civil Engineering contractor Linkforce self performed a majority of the divisions of work required to construct this facility. This provides us with a competitive edge in terms of pricing when tendering and provides flexibility to achieve required scheduling milestones and project targets.

Linkforce has always maintained a strong commitment to safety for the protection of its employees and clients. Linkforce exemplary health and safety record is a direct result of a commitment to executing projects in a safe and effective manner. As there are substantial risk elements involved with a project of this nature, a detailed study was conducted on working safely at heights so as best to minimise potential risk. As a result of this analysis much of the assembly work was performed on the ground and then lifted into place when ready. This process effectively minimised working at heights requirements and removed a great degree of potential risk from the project. Linkforce construction team and safety personnel worked closely together within the project to best identify and remove potential hazards from the workplace whilst maintaining efficiencies within the workplace.

The project was executed at the highest level of quality utilising Linkforce quality management systems. All stages of works are verified by way of Inspection Test Plans (ITP’s) and do not proceed until Construction Manager and Client approval has been given. In the course of normal production, processes are monitored via the reporting of Quality Performance Indicators (QPI’s) Internal and external audits also supplement this approach. A Material Data Register containing all project information inclusive of spec sheets, warranties, as builts and user manuals is presented to the client at project completion.
